Day 1

Arriving at Lusaka airport you will be met by your tourist guide and accompanied to your accommodation. This evening the guide will have a short introduction and briefing regarding the up-coming adventure.

Day 2,3 and 4

Kafue. The next 3 nights we stay within the Kafue National Park. Found in the centre of western Zambia, Kafue National Park is the oldest and largest of Zambia’s national parks. It covers a massive 22,400 km². First established as a National Park in the 1950’s by the legendary Norman Carr, Kafue is one of the largest national parks in the whole of Africa. Camping at Kafue for these 3 nights will give as the opportunity to experience African nature first-hand. We will make use of our own 4×4 vehicle to explore the wilderness of Kafue and surge for that perfect photo. Open vehicle safaris can be arranged from our accommodation as an optional activity. Day 5 and 6

Leaving Kafue behind we find our way, via Lusaka to Lower Zambezi. Stocking up on supplies for the next few days at our self-catering accommodation.

This Park is still relatively undeveloped, it’s beauty lying in it’s wilderness state. The diversity of animals is not as wide as the other big parks, but the opportunities to get close to game wandering in and out of the Zambezi channels are spectacular. The Park lies opposite the famous Mana Pools Reserve in Zimbabwe, so the whole area on both sides of the Zambezi River is a massive wildlife sanctuary.

The River’s edge is overhung with a thick riverine fringe, including ebony and fig trees. Further inland is a floodplain fringed with mopane forest and interspersed with Winterthorn trees and huge Vachellia. The hills which form the backdrop to the Park are covered in broadleaf woodland. Day 7 and 8

After a full day of driving via the scenic landscapes of Zambia we find ourselves further upstream of the Zambezi river. Staying not far from the Victoria falls we have the opportunity to visit this spectacular landmark the following day.  V

Victoria Falls presents a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800s as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ – ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. In more modern terms Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world.

Livingstone also offer a variety of activities to choose from, including bungee jumping, white water river rafting and many more. This can be arrange the day of arrival or beforehand, on line to secure availability. Waterfront (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 9

This marks the end of the service for this tour. We will gladly assist with transport to Livingstone airport on this day. If a further accommodation or Safari is required from Livingstone we can also help in this regard
