Classic Malawi 7 day Safari
Day 1
Today you will be arriving at Barefoot Lodge https://www.facebook.com/barefootlodgeandsafaris/ where you will have the opportunity to meet your guide and get acquainted with your equipment as well as having the opportunity to discuss the itinerary and meet fellow travelers.
Meet at 17:30 at Barefoot Restaurant.

Day 2
Departing after breakfast we make our way to Liwonde National Park (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liwonde_National_Park). We will be traveling via Dedza Town and if time allows, we will visit the very well known Dedza pottery (http://www.dedzapottery.com/pottery/). Lunch will be en-route and we will arrive in time to setup camp and enjoy the sunset and our first campfire.

Day 3
Getting up early we leave camp after coffee and rusks to be on Safari (Own vehicle) as soon as possible. We will be spending the morning in the park searching for wildlife and that perfect photo opportunity. For brunch (something in between breakfast and lunch) we will turn back to camp and during the heat of day be around the lodge area. In the afternoon we have the opportunity to do another game drive with our own vehicle or book a Game Drive with the lodge (Optional). At the lodge they also have different activities available which can be arranged the day of arrival – Bush walk, night drive etc.

Day 4 and 5
After breaking up camp and having breakfast we head north towards the well-known Malawi Lake. Passing villages like Mangotchi, we arrive in time at Cape Maclear to set up camp and get a glimpse of the lake.
Depending on the time we will have lunch en-route or at Cape Maclear.
At Cape Maclear we have 2 nights and a full day to explore and enjoy what this part of the lake has to offer. Various water-based and other activities can be booked and arranged from our accommodation.
Overnight: Eagles Nest (camping or similar)
Day 6
Today we head further north along the shore towards Senga Bay. Here we will leave the camping equipment on the vehicle and enjoy wat the resort has to offer. Arriving during, or just after lunch we still have the afternoon to partake in a bout trip around the island or just enjoy the view from the terrace or lazing around the swimming pool.
Overnight: Safari beach Lodge
Day 7
After a relaxed morning we make our way back towards the capital city – Lilongwe. En-route we visit Kuti Wildlife Sanctuary and if we lucky we find the resident zebras close or even inside the restaurant. We will arrive in town late afternoon. End of service
