The Lilongwe Nature Sanctuary and Wildlife Centre offer superb riverine habitat for Schalow’s Turaco, Hildeblandt’s Francolin, African Broadbill, Red throated twin-spot,White-backed Night Heron, Half-collared Kingfisher, Black-throated Wattle-eye, Mountain Wagtail, Golden Weaver, Red Backed Manikin, Brown Crowned Tchagra, long tailed Wagtail and Golden Weaver.

 Itinerary – 06.30 to 09.00 or 15.00 to 17.30 – We collect you from your hotel / residence and take you to the Lilongwe Nature Sanctuary [Government side]. Follow one of the numerous trails through the endemic Brachystegia trees to the river. Enjoy tea or coffee at the restaurant and return to the vehicle at about 08.45/17:15 and you will be dropped back at your hotel by 9:00/17h30.
