Botswana and Zambia Combo

5 Days Accommodation

Day 1 and 2

Today you will be met by a Barefoot Safaris representative at Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone. You’ll be transported to your accommodation and after settling in you have time to explore your surroundings. Depending on your time available you can opt to visit the falls in the afternoon of arrival or the following morning. Arriving in Zambia it might be worth your while to obtain a KAZA visa. https://www.zambiaimmigration.gov.zm/kaza-univisa/ This will also give you multiple entry to Zimbabwe, allowing you to visit the Falls from their sidel. During this tour you will not have a Barefoot guide available but transport from and to your accommodation is easily arranged from the connoisseurs.

Victoria Falls presents a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800s as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ – ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. In more modern terms Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world. This can be arranged on the day of arrival or beforehand, on line, to secure availability. On the afternoon of the second day you have a Zambezi boat cruise scheduled. Departing from the Waterfront you will embark on a 2-3 hour journey on the mighty Zambezi. This spectacular sunset cruise is a must for anyone visiting Livingstone.

Day 3 and 4

Day 3 is an adventure in itself. After breakfast you will be collected by previously arranged transport to take you to Kazungula Border. Make sure you have all your traveling documents in place. Visas can be obtained from the border. Citizens from different countries are charged different rates. Please confirm rates beforehand. After an eventful morning crossing the border, you have time in the afternoon to relax and spend some time next to the swimming pool overlooking the Chobe River or take a stroll around the bustling town of Kasane.

Day 4 you will embark on an early morning open vehicle Safari into Chobe National Park, departing and returning from and to your accommodation. Chobe National Park is Botswana‘s first national park, and also the most biologically diverse. and has one of the greatest concentrations of game in all of Africa.
